nounstudy

An AI that has read your NOUN course material.

Open a unit and ask about anything that confuses you. Every answer comes from your own course material and shows the page it is on, so you can check it for yourself.

1.1

The file is the problem, not your course material

NOUN already publishes your course material as modules and units. A three hundred page PDF on your phone is what makes it hard to read, not how the material is organised.

Pinch and zoom to read one line, nothing you underline stays underlined, and the search bar barely finds the word you typed. There is no one to ask when a paragraph does not make sense.

nounstudy is an AI learning platform for NOUN students. It puts those same units on your phone and puts an AI beside them.

So when a paragraph will not come together, you ask about it there and then, and the answer shows you the page it came from.

1.2

Every answer points back at the page it came from

You never have to wonder whether the AI made something up. Tap the page number and read it for yourself.

ACC101 · UNIT 1: THE CONCEPT OF BOOKKEEPING

The employees responsible for bookkeeping should be informed of all the transactions well in time. All possible receipts and relevant documents should be provided in order to avoid any errors.

Ask

Why should transactions be recorded quickly?

Because a delay makes mistakes more likely. The unit says every transaction should be recorded in good time, with the receipts and documents to back it up, so nothing gets missed.

1.3

Four things you do in every unit

You read it, you mark what matters, and you come back to check what stuck.

01

Read

Open a unit and read it from wherever you stopped.

02

Mark

Highlight a passage or leave yourself a note as you go.

03

Ask

Ask about anything that does not make sense yet.

04

Check yourself

Turn the unit into a quick test when you are ready.

1.4

Your highlights are still there next week

Your highlights, notes and the questions you have asked are all still on the unit the next time you open it.

A second reading starts where the first one stopped, not from the beginning. Tag a passage as confusing today and find it again next week, still tagged.

1.5

You can read a course with no data at all

Download a course while you have a connection, then open it on the days you do not. Nothing you marked is lost once you are back online.

Install nounstudy to your home screen and it opens like an app, even before the page has finished loading over a slow connection.

Ask does more than answer

All three happen inside the same conversation. You ask to be tested, or for the short version of a unit, and the AI draws a picture when the words alone are not landing. None of them send you off to another page.

Practice tests

Ask to be tested, and answer questions from what you have been reading.

Questions students ask

Is the free plan really free?

Yes. Reading your course material is free on every plan, including the free one. You do not pay to read.

Will this write my TMA for me?

No. Ask helps you understand a passage you are reading, and it always shows you the page the answer came from. It is not a way to skip reading the unit yourself.

Can I read a course with no internet?

Yes. Download a course while you have data, then read it with none. What you mark offline joins the rest of your notes once you are back online.

What happens if I stop paying?

Your plan moves down rather than locking you out, and your highlights, notes and history stay exactly where you left them.

Is this material from NOUN?

Yes. It is the same course material NOUN publishes free, the same modules and units, just readable on your phone.

Open your first unit and see how it reads.
